It's been a while but here's a new one. This little guy will be in my Etsy shop once I open up the children's section (March 1st). Have a great weekend!

Now that all of the note cards are done, I've gone back into the studio to paint. Below is a picture of the painting I was working on right before Savannah was born. I've only been able to put in an hour on it here and there this past year and didn't feel that I got much done. So now my main focus is to finish it in the next month and start a new one that I've been thinking about. Yesterday I was able to work on it for a few hours:

I sketched out more of the piece with charcoal (see above)and then added more layers of color to it as well (see below).

Stay tuned - I'll keep posting pictures of it as the painting/mixed media piece evolves.

commissioned note cards:

I just finished a commissioned project of 20 lion cards for a fellow mom/friend in Savannah and my playgroup. 10 were of just a lion's face (see below) and 10 were of a lion in the safari. It was a lot of work but a lot of fun and has inspired me to start a children's section in my Etsy shop. I'll keep you posted on how that is coming along and the day that it will officially open.

All that card making made me want to make a few more sets of cards for the shop. So I made some birds in winter cards:

And I'm finishing up a set of 8 pumpkin cards for a friend:
Once all of the cards are finished - it's off to the painting studio I go! I've got some ideas for new landscapes that I'm excited to try out.
