From the artists studio...

Today I'm experimenting/playing/working with ink and watercolor in the studio. So far I like what is going on. Drawing with ink has a very different feel and look than drawing with charcoal. I love how sketchy and impromptu my drawings look in ink. I wanted to add some color to the tree trunk picture to see how the ink & watercolor works with my drawing style. Not every piece turned out exactly as I planned (the birds on a wire for instance). That's what I love about working in mixed media and trying out new things. When something doesn't work, I just have to let it go.
