Progress in the studio

While I am figuring out what to do about my blog - here are a couple of progress photos for my latest landscape. The original image is from my trip to Maine (yes, I took a ton of photos there and will be using them over the years because it's a beautiful part of the country):

first layers of blue for the sky

after many layers, the sky is almost done

A look at Beach Path

Beach Path
Beach Path by elisa ann lindstrom

Beach Path was inspired by a photo I took while on vacation with a good friend in Maine. She goes to this spot every year since she was little. One of her favorite things to do is explore the beach during low tide, high tide... really, any time is a good time to explore the beach. She really loves this area and I'm so grateful she shared it with me.

My intention for this piece was to share the feeling of being relaxed and on vacation along with the excitement for a day of exploring.

You can find this landscape on my Saatchi page.

A look at Morning Walk

Time gives us a new perspective.

Morning Walk is an original painting that I created from a photo I took while in Maine. My good friend shared her favorite summer hideout with me and took me on a morning walk while the tide was low. It was so beautiful and peaceful where the water had pulled back.

This painting is for sale, contact me for more information.

A look at Low Tide

Sometimes we pull away to see what is underneath.

Low Tide is a small original landscape. It was created from a photo I took while on a morning walk in Small Point Maine. During high tide, the same area would be ocean. I was really fascinated with what was left when the ocean pulled back and wanted to capture it in a painting.

This painting is available on my Saatchi site.

A look at Cliff Walk

A hike along the cliff.
Chatting with a good friend.
A perfect view from Maine.

Cliff Walk is a landscape I created from a photograph taken while hiking in Maine. The hike took us along a cliff which gave us beautiful views overlooking the inlet and ocean. The image was so peaceful and quiet that I wanted to capture it as a painting.

The original painting can be bought on Saatchi
