A look at Quiet Moment

 

Quiet Moment was part of a series of sketches inspired by a bird in a meadow that I saw on a hike. The bird was perched on the flower stems that made it seem as though it was weightless. I wanted to bring a light and peaceful feeling to this artwork.

A look at In Snow

 

In Snow was inspired by the plants that can still be seen even in the middle of winter. When snow is covering every inch of space, there are spots where the plants have remained. These looked like small islands and I wanted to explore that feeling more through a sketch. Sketches on Canvas are created to show the simplicity and beauty in nature as well as everyday objects. from a trip to Door County in Wisconsin last year.
